Heatwaves Resilience Workshop for Schools

In the Autumn of 2026 we will be holding a Heatwaves Resilience Workshop for Schools.

The workshop will explore how schools can be made resilient to future heatwaves.

We will discuss how to achieve the Climate Change Commission’s proposed target to have “internal temperatures of learning environments (…) remain between 16°C–25°C”, using a combination of “outdoor shading (…), passive cooling and ventilation and active cooling”.

The workshop is open to representatives from Islington schools and parent governors.
